SEM is celebrating our 25th anniversary this year. As we prepared to celebrate this milestone and plan for the next 25 years we looked to address anything that might be an obstacle to our future growth. As we surveyed our advisor base we realized we were not always clear in who SEM really was. There are thousands of different investment managers out there with many different styles that makes it easy to be lost in the shuffle. We want our name to make it clear what SEM is all about — Scientifically Engineered Models

Mechanicsville, VA, is synonymous with home for me. I was born and raised in the area, graduating from Lee Davis High School, where I met my husband, Kyle. We met as members of the indoor track team, which I only joined as a means to be prepared for soccer season. Most of our running these days is done while playing with our two Jack Russell terriers.
Remaining in Hanover county for my education, I attended Randolph Macon College and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts in business/economics and accounting. I was a member of the Randolph Macon Women’s Soccer Team for two years. Being a small college, I learned to value relationships, as I saw the impact they had on my life, as well as others.
Following college, I worked as a CPA providing advice and guidance to clients. I spent time in healthcare auditing, as well as corporate tax. Similar to my previous roles, I will continue to be a guiding professional and community resource. It is imperative to me that I know my clients and the goals that are important to them. This allows me to best serve your interests as your financial advisor.
